"If you have been playing golf as long as I have, you probably owned a Slotline putter. I played a Slotline for 25 years, then tried something newer, sold my Slotline and regretted it. Now I'm playing one again, and it's even better. Read why below." - D.M., President of Guru Golf
That's right, the belly putter is back! Check out all the tour players using the belly again. Why? Because it helps stabilize the head of your putter and helps eliminate the stress on your wrists. Can you afford to not try one at this price?
Features:
Precision Weighting and Design for Consistent Accuracy:
All Slotline putters feature Tungsten weighting technology, the SLOT and LINE (Slotline) alignment system and a tri-milled face to help you hole more putts. Cavities are created in each putter and then filled with Tungsten or Slotline’s proprietary Tungsten blend to bring the putter to weight and increase MOI. With the SLOT and LINE (Slotline) alignment system, when the LINE is visible in the SLOT, you are in proper position and ready to putt. And a tri-milled face reduces the surface area and provides a solid, crisp feel at impact allowing the ball to roll sooner and stay on line longer.
Heel & Toe Weighting:
For heel and toe weighting, cavities are milled into the heel and toe areas of the putter to create pockets. The pockets are then filled with Tungsten or our proprietary Tungsten Blend to bring the putter to weight, concentrating weight at the extreme edges of the putter, increasing MOI. A high MOI rating greatly increases accuracy on off-center contact, resulting in more holed putts.
Slot & Line Alignment System:
The SLOT and LINE alignment system ensures that you are in the proper position over the ball prior to stroking your putt. If the LINE is not visible in the SLOT, it warns you that your eyes are not directly over the ball, helping you to consistently address the ball and sink more putts.
Extreme Back, Heel & Toe Weighting:
Extreme back, heel and toe weighting requires cavities milled into each of three specific areas: the heel, toe and underside of the crown. The pockets are then filled with our proprietary Tungsten Blend. The combination of the heavy Tungsten Blend material inserted into the light Aluminum body moves the CG further away from the face increasing MOI and stability of the putter head.
Sole, Heel & Toe Weighting:
Because cavities are cast into the sole of the putter in the heel and toe locations and replaced with 15g Tungsten slugs, the sole, heel and toe weighting method moves more weight to the extremes of the putter. This increases MOI and results in more holed putts.
Extreme Back Weighting:
A single cavity is cast into the sole of the putter and filled with 30g of Tungsten, for extreme back weighting. This pulls the CG further back in the head, creating a higher MOI and a more stable head. The end result is a putter that will help you make more putts and lower your score.
Tri-Milled Face:
The unique Tri-Milled face (cross mill pattern and horizontal score lines) of all Slotline putters ensures that you have an absolutely flat face and true loft when stroking your putt. The Slotline Tri-Milled face provides the perfect surface to get your ball rolling in less distance than non-milled faces. By getting the ball rolling sooner, your putts track better, stay on line longer and find their way into the cup easier.
What is MOI (Moment of Inertia)?
MOI by definition is the ability of an object to resist changing direction. This is important in ALL golf clubs, including putters, especially on shots that are mishit either on the heel or toe of the club. The higher the MOI the less the club will twist on off-center contact, resulting in a straighter more accurate shot.
In the 1980’s, Slotline was the first company to begin telling consumers about the importance of MOI and was the first company to start designing products solely with MOI in mind. With the introduction of the original Inertial series putters, Slotline was able to dramatically improve the MOI readings by incorporating aluminum and lead. By utilizing aluminum (one of the lightest metals) and lead (one of the heaviest metals) in the putter designs, Slotline was able to significantly reduce the weight of the putter body and brought the putter to final weight by placing lead in the heel and toe areas to concentrate the weight on the outer edges. Using light and heavy material in this manner created the most accurate putters available.
Average golfers consistently miss the sweet-spot of the putter; a putt struck ¾” on the heel or toe side of center will fall right (toe contact) or left (heel contact) of the target line and stop well short of tap-in range. A Slotline putter can help reduce your score immediately! Putts that are struck on the heel or toe will either go in the hole or come to rest within tap-in range due to the high MOI designs of Slotline putters.
Today, Slotline still designs putters solely with MOI in mind. We have significantly upgraded the materials and the manufacturing processes to bring you, the consumer, some of the most ACCURATE and consistent putters available on the market today.
